I have a quantum paddle. I found it a bit odd to start with due to the way the blade is shaped but got used to it and think it is good, except:

I have a bit of trouble when I go to do a brace or use the paddle as a rudder. I am used to just seeing the paddle out of the corner of my eye and having it at the correct angle but with the curve shape of the quantum paddle I have to actually turn and look at what angle it is to the water in order to get it right. It looks 'thick' even when the blade is straight up and down and should look 'thin'.

I am planning on upgrading my paddle to one with propellers or jets or sails but in the mean time, my simple quantum is fine. It is an economy paddle which does its job but if ya plan lots of paddling, there are better ones.
