go the yum yum yellow.....and then perhaps your pb for a shark might put you into the Scott (bent as he was known) field........ seriously though yellow for safety and being visible.

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. Let us know the price you pick it up for Gatesy - the wife has her eye on one.

Gatesy,

My vote was for the sand/granite colour.

I have an Outback in this colour and while I haven't had it long here a my reasons.....

1. Fish seem to be less spoked by it. I have seen more fish/rays and caught more fish on the outback than the old white Yak or Dk green canoe. I have seen flathead follow lures to within 4-5 feet and glided over rays I could touch.

2. It's cooler (especially important in Summer in QLD). Dark colours, hot sun and exposed skin is not a good combination.

3. Glare resistant

Having said that: I fish mainly in the estuaries/rivers and didn't think that the visabibilty was a key factor. If i regularly fished In the ocean I my have weighed that factor a little higher. The saftey orange does look good and I wouldn't think it a bad choice.
