Went looking for flatty's got two false alarms.....A leopard shark...

Got a quick picture before releasing...

and a shovel nose... Got some shots of the shovel nose coming up underwater...

Jimm H. found the right kind... #30 lb CA Halibut...

Brad (the other one) caught a nice leopard shark, video below...

Well done, Love that Halibut.

Did the photographer use a telephoto lens? I was wondering if that may be the reason that it looks as though you are almost "sunk" could be the top of a wave in the foreground making it look that way.

Awesome colour on the halibut, love the video of the leopard too, nearly wet myself laughing. Looked like great conditions to be out on a yak. Good stuff mate, thanks for sharing.

Amazing :shock: . That Leopard shark has awesome colouring, must have put up a pretty good fight, along with the other two fish.
