hey all so here's my dilemma

I've just gotten my self a new Malibu X-13 and i'm thinking about mounting a water snake (18 lb thrust )motor on it, im just worried about the battery the guys at BCF said i need a deep cycle marine battery and wanted to sell me one that weighed about 30 kgs, do you guys have/use electric motors if so what are good options for batteries or motor size is 18lb big enough or go bigger?

Hey mate,

My mini x with an 18lb. With the extra size of your yak a 24 lb would be spot on. Remember, the bigger the motor, the bigger the battery. My 32 ah weighs 8 kg.

Gday Justin, i have a 24lb leccy on my 3m yak and run it with a 60ah battery(17kg). It all works a charm and i can troll lures non stop all day. Hope this helps a bit.
