Finally got myself sorted today and took a shot of my P13 before heading out for a fish.

Was out off Army Bay on the New Zealand North Island and headed home with 6 Snapper and 1 Kawai (Salmon).

Ran out of bait soon after the run started but it was a great morning on the water.

Evening lads,

Dogfish - 26 of us signed in for the morning of fishing, an awesome response as the club is only a couple of months old. We spread from the west side of Army Bay to the Tiri Channel and were graced with a great morning after a week of miserable weather.

Occy - straylining seems to be pretty popular over here often fishing pilchards or squid. some go for a flasher style rig and quite a few guys trolled hard bodied lures on the way out to pick up kawai.

Rawprawn - The Prowler is a great Kayak. I have just had it fitted with a rudder after battling the wind on my last couple of outiongs. Even though I have only been out once with the rudder, I can see the advantages and would have confidence going out now even if it looked like getting up to say 15kn. I fished yesterday with a guy on a 'fish and dive' and thought that lloked to be a good stable platform with awesome hatches and deck space. His boat was the best set up rig I have seen to date.
