Hi All
Most of my fishing in the Brunswick River (NSW) is on the 'drift'. However, sometimes I want to be able to fish in the one spot without moving. Most people would say, "Well, use an anchor."
The 'good' fishing holes in the Brunswick River are full of snags such at fallen trees and mangrove roots and you never really know if you are going to get your anchor back.
Because the river has a 'lot' of overhanging trees I've come up with the 'tree hook'. Just back up to a overhanging branch, hook on, start fishing.
Would work with Yaks as well
Cheers
John
