Rik, I would think you would get good a good resale price on the Predator as they are a top boat. Feel free to advertise it on here and see what response you get. If I was only ever going to fish sheltered waters and structure then I would own a Hobie as for this I think they are perfect so they sound like they are the right boat for what you are doing at the moment. As Gatesy said however a test paddle/peddle would still be a good idea between various Hobie models to find which one is best for your usage.

For sure i think a test peddle is going to be needed. Thats not the problem, the problem is this "Darling dear of mine now ive sold my yak and got back the $1350 we/you payed, i now need $1000 more for my new one"
hmmmmm i dont think its going to go down to well

Rik, you are approaching this all wrong. Start looking at 30 grand bream boats, telling her you need the bow mounted Minn Kota to hold postion while you work structure. Allow yourself to be talked out of this and compromise with a hobie that allows you to do the same thing.

Scott and Gatesy, you crafty negotiators. So I was doing it wrong when I showed me missus how ya can make a canoe out of a sheet of old roofing iron folded lengthwise. Instead, I should have been buying those fancy yachting mags and drooling over the big boats.
