I was going to wait to show off the Q, but hey, I have two pics of it set up for fishing, so here they are! the Q-Kayak escapade, I call Q.

I was holding off to have it fully stocked with the camping gear, but I can do that another time!

It has two scotty rod holders, a humminbird max 10 as extras.

Its a great looking yak, kind of vibed me a bit @ Googong ( How can anyone have a sick yak other than me? Grrr ), good choice of colour and great to see you pioneering the Q online... I know a few have the larger SIK Q kayaks but have not seen any smaller SOT used here.

It was a pretty good price was it not? ( Memory fading, too much beer! )

Seriously it looks sleek, seems to get you from A to B perfectly... Only better yak i have seen lately was Polar on his jaffa Quest, and that was over 200m away and he was really cutting through the water with ease.

Very very nice...

PS - How are you enjoying the Max 10? ( It does the job well eh? )

Thanks Guys!

$950 for the yak, including the seat, paddle was extra and same with postage.......all up I have spent about $1,400....that's taking into account the net and tackle I bought specifically for it.

I cannot compare the sounder to anything else, I got it only as it was cheep and I use it more to gage depth than finding fish, but it seems to show the arc's well enough.....hasent missed a beat and I do recommend them as the mounting and usae is quite fool proof.....did I mention cheep?

My sole reason for this model was for camping! I wanted to take my whole kit as well as fishing gear and although there is in hull storage, I have two large dry bags that will fit in the front and rear sections so I can really fill them up where I might have been restricted with only in hull.

The next pick was the prowler 13, still make's me drool! I think my wife wants one? dont you sweetie

Heya Aleg,

Thats a bloody great looking boat mate. I love the big "kill bin" in the front.
A wet hessian bag there would work very well.

Any chance of a piccie of the bottom please?

Yeah second that!

I find the clarity okay, but to really comare I should try it outside, next time Paff and I are out we can compare while being side by side and test the sensitivity settings.........but it shoes me the depth which is really all I am after

Hi Mick,
Here's a shot of the bottom of my escapade. Q-Kayaks describe it as a "tri-hull". It gives very good stability. I'd taken a number of shots of my yak as I'm currently selling it on eBay (closes 28/3/2007) so I had one of the bottom all ready to go when I read your post.
Regards,
Roy

That really is a tri hull there isn't it. Very stable I bet.
Yeah she is very stable, have not had her in very choppy conditions, but she sits very still....it's been rated well for use in white water and ocean work, so one of these days i will get out there and test her out.

ROHY, thanks for posting the hull, hairy, sorry for not posting it when you asked for it!
