went out today and got a few small pinkies , thats all .

No flatty at all in the area .

I think the netters have cleaned it out

Whereabouts did you fish Peter? Its quite predictable with snapper. the way they come on early in the season and then seem to dissapear only reappear later in the season again.

That area is my fav big flathead place in the bay .
I don't chase snapper at all much any more.
Did that for 15 years , i'm a bit over them.

Last time i was there the pinkies were there as well just tapping the lures i drift with.
Thats two outings , no fish (flathead)

Knowing the area like i do , really thats the only explanation. It's a pitty cos ive let many more go there than i have kept.
I have had a few decent run ins with them in the past so yeah, what you said.

the pic was an after thought, had to open the middle hatch and turn on the cam and take the shot with one hand. I'm thinkin at the time , don't drop, don't drop.

Had a bit of practice trolling the sx40 around the pier, have to paddle too sloooowww :shock:
