I left my Swing outside in Melbourne's liquid sunshine over the last couple of days (installing a fish finder). I pulled the rear hatch off and discovered a small amount of water inside. I traced it to mainly around a couple of screw/bolt holes.

I'd like to fix the leaky hatch. Does anybody have any tips? Is it simply a matter of pulling the collar off, removing the existing silicone and re-doing it? Should I try just sealing the outside of the collar rather than removing it?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers Pete.

Having played around on boats a while think there is only one approach...remove and re silicone will guarantee a cure, the other won't
