Hi fellow yak yak.
Thanks for the great comments. What a neat site. Its great to share ideas and see what someone else has done.
Yes the white thing on top of the Swing Logo is the GPS unit. I got my Lowrance just before they combined it in the head. Works a treat and doesn't get in the way. A run it all off a jet ski battery. It last a good day before I have to recharge it.
Its a little bit heavier to paddle but worth it.

Oh yeah the VHF is a GME (I think thats an Australian manufactured one). It is waterproof to 1 metre for 30 minutes.

Hopefully it won't be submerged for that length of time.
The other neat thing is it is the smalest on the market apart from a hand held which lose range.
