This looks to be a great recipe Occy, but I'd be grateful if you could let us know what sizes you're talking about when referring to medium and large squid. With the squid around this area that I catch, what we'd call a medium sized squid feeds two people (at least) and a large one gives me 3 or 4 meals. And that's only using the tubes as the rest (tentacles) is usually kept for bait.

I'm salivating just thinking about it all.

Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks Occy. I've never seen squid that small come out of the water around here (or anywhere I've fished), which is why I've found it hard to get my head around reports on this forum about using whole squid as live baits. The only ones of that size I've ever seen are the ones in packs of bait. So I didn't know that small squid like that were even caught on lines.

We used to get several each time we went out in my father's boat and were anchored while catching KG whiting. Mmmm, whiting & squid - getting hungry again.

Dave.
