As some of you know, I wrote off my Nissan Urvan yak transporter last weekend. Not much damage to look at, and there was no physical pain involved, but a yak transporter is a yak transporter, and without one, I am RS.
The manager of household finances, decided that I should have a sedan  , in itself, not neccesarily a bad thing. So now I am driving a Daewoo leganza, a nice looking unit (compared to the crap, that I have habitually driven).
Later in the week, I have to get a tow bar fitted, I cannot bring myself to put roof racks on this one, lest I drop the yak, or contaminate the paintwork with salt and sand. Then get a trailer........ and then get to the water again!

I have this feeling, that I have been cheated out of a giant snapper, but I guess it will have a couple of more weeks to grow.

I am looking foward to getting back on the water again.

Cheers all Andybear

G'day Andy,

do you have a box trailer? if so, a ladder-rack on it should get you out of trouble. Simple- cheap and quick to do.

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. If you are desperate for the old content of this particular post, it is available below base64 encoded and bzip2 compressed.

Thanks for the support guys,
Have booked in for the tow bar Thursday, and will hunt for trailer either same day or Friday, work the weekend, and wait for Murphy to stuff up the weather on Monday. I have some steel fencing pipe lying around, and a few of those screw up tees. I reckon I can make up a rigid box like frame (to get the height to make sure the yak clears the boot. It might be fun to take out all three yaks one day.... at least I know one of them floats

Cheers all Andybear
