has anyone used any of the spot messenger range of personal tracking devices? The concept of being able to send text messages to let friends and family know you are OK or to get help with GPS co-ordinates makes sense to me. I've only seen them advertised and know nothing about their quality and serviceability and as we spend time where an ordinary epirb might not be useful I am interested tin learning a bit more about them...

thanks for the info... are they suitable for use on the yak etc. ie: - are the units waterproof as most things on the A.I. get wet if there are rough conditions.
