OK not sure what u guys call em, remebering im a newbie to all this, but can anyone tell me where I can get those side rail clips that u can run cord/elastic rope through../?

I think you mean a carabina? You can get em pretty much any camping our outdoors place or perhaps a boating chandlery.

My guess is you are after saddles to screw on your deck, used to run grab lines around a yak, if that is the case any ships chandlery such as Whitworths
