Hi Adrian
A rudder was one of the main critea, when I was searching for a replacement for the FnD. I found that the wind would blow me off course and hence make paddling more difficult and when I drift for flatties the current would sometimes spin me around so time was spent correcting my position instead of casting.
A rudder does not need to be used when the conditions are good - gentle breeze etc as it also slows you down(in good conditions)but I think it is worthwhile considering if the yak you are going to purchase can have a rudder fitted.
My vote is for the Swing
