I recently read Gatesy' recent (and entertaining) trip report where he lost an anchor. As I am hoping to fish a few rocky spots in the coming months, I was wondering if there is such a thing as a small reef anchor suitable to a kayak? I realise the prongs would probably have to be relatively soft so you could pull it loose and not tip yourself out, yet hard enough to hold the yak. Does anyone use anything like this?

Last week I went to big w and they have small reef picks with 4 bendable prongs. I got the smaller one for about $5.95. Its a hell of a lot lighter than the three kilo dumbell and holds onto the reef really good. :D
