Hey guys

Decided to take our Kayak to fish around the reef at woody point hoping for my first Squire on SPs.
We launched the yak at around 6 in perfect conditions although the fishing was pretty slow.
We managed a few moses perch and a small ray which was my first one on SP and put up a pretty good fight.
After a few hours of just a few missed hits I finally hooked onto something solid and boated a 38cm squire. It put up a great fight and had me hoping all my knots would hold. :D

After this fish was landed we went back to shore to grab something to eat and stretch our legs. I had a quick flick landbased and managed 2 small Bream 8)

We went back to the reefs, but there was a heap of brown muck everywhere on the water and we weren't getting any hits so we decided to call it quits.

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish.
