Guys, ducked out for half an hour on dark last night in Katana just down the road from me. Dropped two absolutely huge squid when the hooks pulled on the little size 2.0 yozuris I was using. Due to the size of the prevalent bait they wouldn't look at any bigger jigs. I managed to land 5 nice ones however which will keep me in squid rings for a while and also give me some nice sized heads to use as whole baits.

That's amazing, Scott. Huge squid. One of the guys around Coogee lost one a couple of days ago. Figured it was around the 2kg mark. There are some very big ones around at the moment.
