Hey guys
Felt like making a post so thought I'd post a trip from a few months back.

We'd recently been getting lazy and looking for land based stuff instead of having to clean everything up. Ended up finding a nice spot for a late afternoon walk. We haven't fished this spot much and I had two firsts that day.

First fish at this spot and first fish on the Rapala's.

We'd been fishing for about and hour without a touch. Kept casting to no avail.

Decided to head back with a donut and as I'm casting into a foot of water ahead of me. My line started coming back at me... A few scary moments and a decent flathead came in for a pic before swimming away. Guesstimate of size would be mid 50's

Anyway, Lot of fun even without a kayak!

It gets like that sometimes. If you have somewhere handy you can go and flick a lure then no sense going to the trouble of wetting the kayak just for the sake of it.

The conditions look nice and calm there in that photo.
