Missed the morning session with 5th Nov,but caught up with Poddy ( he's such a happy lad that fella  ) at Rickets Point about 3pm. water looked divine and fair flat so we geared up and set out. within 20-30 paddle strokes the wind picked up and suddenly i was getting swamped  ... we paddled along with the HB's but no takers... i left Poddy to paddle on as i drifted and tried the SP's but spent more time BAILING out the boat (some big bloody waves happening out there  ). threw out a HB and went in search of Poddy. still nothing. found 'ol Pod hard at it and decided to pack it in, with half the BAY in me boat lol.
Last i saw poddy he was of into the sun with a hell of a wind in his face. Go Get'em Poddy...

Despite bearing my molars into a stiff southerly (as the racecallers would say), nothing resulted smurf. Good to catch up with you and that big italian chick Pam Lico. Ever seen the original version of the "The Italian Job"? Benny Hill plays the part of a wacko fella who likes his ladies big....but maybe that should be left there in case the kiddies are reading this. Suffice to say Pam can really hold a lot of drink, although I noted ya had to carry her to the car at the days end......with a smoke hanging out the corner of ya mouth. Not catching something was probably the best result. :D

Big Pam Lico

Getting off the water in choppy conditions was the right move Smurf :D

Nice looking kayak. I guess it would be awesome most times, but not when chop is coming over the side.

hey thanks for the yak posting Poddy, she looks pretty good all new and shiney like that.
Was a great fun session mate, riding out some of those waves was  but i gotta say it was a real thrill. After i loaded the yak up i turned to look for you but by-goolie it was really blowin out there and i found a profound deep new respect for you, that was rough as guts out there and all i could see were whitecaps... and you paddling off into the distance. 8)
Yeah Troppo i agree its not the best craft when it heavy chop BUT stable as hell and never felt worried by the water she was holding, mind you i was bailing more than i was fishing lol. The only real fear is if it does flip or fill completly with water its a goner. No way of flipping her back up or even pulling it back to shore if im a km or further out. All part of the tHRILL i reckon.
anyway, good to head out with ya Poddy, maybe next time we catch some fish hey :D

Every craft has limits. Every paddler has limits! That type of yak certainly has benefits with gear storage and accessability. Within its limits it would be awesome for fishing out of.
