On a trip up to the Cape last year we took an 8 ft tinnie - a bass boat really, but I felt decidedly unhappy in such a small boat when we fished the croc waters up there

So my question is.... has anyone heard good or bad stories about the Portabote for the type of use that we would be experiencing. And also does anyone perhaps know of one for Sale?
RB a mate had an old canoe style PortaBote one time about 10' long from memory and carried 2 people easily.

We all laughed until we saw it on the water, where it was a fantastic unit, but really doubt you would feel any more secure than your experiences in the tinnie or the Ultimate.

assemble one of these, add his motor and other gear then launch in about 10 minutes.
The PortaBote bloke I mentioned in my earlier reply put a 2hp Johnson on his as well, and it really got up some speed.
