Just a quick one. Got to Pirie late, on the water at 9am instead of 8am. Paddled down along the wharves and structure for nothing at all. Cast SP's and HB's. Went to the creeks just down from the smelter. Not much of interest. Caught a trumpeter smaller than the SX40 I was using. Headed back to the structure, just in front of the smelter and caught a PB 36cm bream, that put up a brilliant fight. Released him back. Continued on for a while for nothing.

From what I could figure, there is some of the best fishing along loading docks and wharves. It is just a matter of figuring out tides and time.

No Pics.

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. Hey water_baby,

Hell no. No way would I have eaten anything from Pirie river system. It was all for the sport. I am still happy with my 36cm bream, I just know there are much much bigger.
