Had an hour or 2 to spare on sunday Arvo, so a quick trip to the Pine was the go, was quite peaceful out of the wind, trolling a SX40 I caught a reasonable bream approx 30cm which performed a spectacle self release right next to the yak, spraying me with water at the same time, the resulting fit of giggles almost caused a capsize . I thought I was to return home fishless but a few last casts at a likely looking drain turned up a nice little lizard just over 40cm, my first ever on an SP I am almost ashamed to say. I sent him home to momma and paddled home a very contented camper indeed.
Yak fishing should be prescribed as therapy I reckon!

Dammit, I hate seeing pics of Pine flatties at a time when I'm about to head out of town for 10 days. Nice fish mate, there's bound to be a few more of those up there for ya, and plenty bigger too. :wink:

I wasn't ashamed about letting him go Gatesy, ashamed of admitting its the first Sp caught fish, I would let 99% of fish caught live to fight another day, in fact my missus reckons I'm becoming a tree hugger!
