PIMP MY YAK!!!

Yes! A global yak challenge that asks if you are ready to become the first ever, 2007, Plastic Spastic.

If you've got a spare yak and aren't afraid to drill it, PIMP MY YAK, Now!!!

To enter, simply modify your spare yak in the most innovative and extreme way possible and you could walking away as, "2007, Plastic Spastic".

Pimp my Yak isn't simply about mounting your sounder. Think outside your yak to create the sleekest, sickest, most deranged vessel on the face of the earth and walk away as the first ever, Plastic Spastic.

Here's the hard part: Points will be deducted for all surface mountings. Yaks with fully integrated fishing systems and built in functions will be scored higher and yaks that incorporate electrical features to enhance fishing applications will also be awarded. Yaks that maintain the original store bought stock shape but have been seriously, cosmetically and internally modified, are encouraged.

Entries will be judged by a panel of experts (TBA) and Competition closes March 30, 2008. Competition open to global yak anglers. Send pics to this forum.

Pass it on....

How 'bout an Xbox in the Scrambler using the paddle as a controller and the cable as a paddle leash?

I've also had visions about installing a fully operational espresso machine for those cold winter mornings on the water.

Melbourne hobie users can install a heater element on the foot pedals to keep thier pinkies from getting numb.

The possibilities are endless.

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. If you are desperate for the old content of this particular post, it is available below base64 encoded and bzip2 compressed.

One of the local San Diego yak fishermen has actually used a bar-b-que on his kayak. Sounds crazy, but this guy has put in something like 200 days a year on the water. I guess with that much time on the water you start thinking that a nice hot burger wouldn't be a bad idea.
