Thought i would get up early to get 3 or 4 hours in before he other 1/2 goes to work :roll: . So i had the Yak in the water at 4.30. decided to troll a couple of SP's out to the mouth of the creek (about 2.5 km). Got out to the Mouth with out a touch, So i throw an sp around may favorit flattie bank for a while, until the 20knot wind blow me back in to the creek.

So headed back down the creek trolling sp's. Half way back trolling close in to a rock wall the rod went off, scored a 56cm flattie witch decided to put my lure straight into it's gut's with out chewing.

Anyway that was the only one for the morning, so i was back in by 8.30

Mate the conditions got so bad on sunday, that at one point an 1/8 oz placcie I threw out ended up about ten feet behind me. :wink: Even the barra ponds had surf on them. Must have been hard work on the yak.

thanks guys, Red i court the flattie about 1 hour later heading the other way back up the creek, just to the right of where the pic was taken. it was great fun trying to keep the yak of the rock wall while trying to land the fish.

Although i didn't have to paddle much heading back. I was even trying to slow down in a couple spots.
