Here are my new PB's from the weekend.

Tailor (47 cms) was caught on a strip of Pike.

Shark (1.16 mtrs) was caught on a strip of Pike.

Pike (38 cms) was caught on a trolled sx-40.

I caught about 20 yakkas all up. Started on an sx-40. Trolled for the first one and then sight casted for the rest also caught them on SP's after my sx-40 was getting too many teeth marks. Also caught lots of pike for bait on SP's mainly but did manage to catch two larger specimens whilst trolling.

First time I have ever caught pike so unsure if they are seasonal.

Shark put up a very good fight, called it for a stingray at first. You being the fact finder genious that you are, do you have any idea on the breed of the shark. THere are som many like species out there it's hard to get a definitive answer.

Hard to tell from the photo, but going by colouring could also be a port jackson.

Yeah its a bit hard to tell, but I'm going to have a crack at reckoning your shark is from either the nurse (diff to grey nurse :wink: ) or blind shark families. Colour, fins, body shape i think point to these groups.

Would love to swim with some leopard sharks though Red! I so need to do more warm water visiting ... 11 degrees down here today
