quick report for a quickie at Parra river...

My plan was to meet with the guys and try my luck downrigging for kinggies
at Blue Fish...but I need a smaller bomb and i didnt buy sea sickness pills.. :?
I had promised to be home by 11.30 to go shopping :roll: :? :roll:
so i had to be off the water by 11
Launched at the boat ramp at Empire Bay... at 6.30
Plenty of small bream around 20 cm .
Choppers galore :evil: annoying when the bite is hot..
Picked up some nice flatties...50cm
as the tide fell, the fish got bigger
Stinkboats moved into my spot again making it hard for me to troll around them. :x
Landed some nice fish all over 30cm..but it was time to head back.
As I checked my lures for weed and flicked them back out, I heard a spray of bait fish scatter behing me.
mmmm....bigger fish moving in dam :!: time to go
I dropped a Smith Shirasu Minow 48 in red


and 2 sec later... BANG
rod bends, reel screams.....dam! :shock: :shock: whats this ?
drag was a bit lose.. :roll: but had some weight to it..
pulled in a nice, fat 36cm breambo
couple of snaps by a kind gentleman on the beach....
and I was off....

Steve, where do you get those neat looking Smith Shirasu Minow lures? Some of those white/silver ones look like they'd be ideal around where I fish.
