My son and I arrived at the Onka about 1030 and launched. He in the old ancient orange and I in my brand new X-Factor. Geez am I stoked. She is perfect. Going up river with the wind at our back, flip out the lure and coast along using only the paddle. Hey, guess what, we had to paddle back and that was a chore. The wind was blowing hard enough that when it gusted we made no forward progress. And to boot, No Bloody Fish. Did not really expect much, just had to get the yak in the water regardless of conditions and tide. Anyway, here are a few pix of the Malibu X-Factor christened "Gator"
I actually meant to say up river with the wind and the RUDDER only. Sit back relax, let the wind do the work and don't think about having to get back again. Missed the best pix - Here it is:

Looking good Duncan. It looks like you were around Old Noarlunga? - what sort of depth of water is there? That area should start to turn it on with the bream moving upstream to spawn in the next month or so. We saw plenty in clear water on saturday, but they were very skitterish
