I had a leisurely paddle through the lower reaches of the Onkaparinga this morning. Water was very clear which I think spooked the fish a bit - ended up with one tiny mullet, a slightly larger salmon trout and a couple of bream around the 32 - 34cm mark. Both bream were taken on an sx40. I thought the second bream was going to be around the 40cm mark as it hit really hard and fought really hard - maybe the additional fight was due to the shallow water. Anyway, found a new spot which I reckon will produce the goods once the yellowfin whiting start in a couple of months.

Nice bream, Fisher. That 2nd pic reminds me of the bream I caught at Fishing Ck on Thur last. It went 32 cm, fought well, looked absolutely beautiful with nice colour, like the one in your pic.

When the water is really clear, can be not so good fishing, but very interesting for seeing what's down there, like rocks, deep patches etc.
