G'day all,

G'day all,

My name is Roland (Rollo). Ive been fishing for the last 15 years (mainly fly) last 4 years using a Hobie which is a great yak - although not a Hobie fanatic as there are other fantastic yaks out there too. Thinking of offloading the Hobie to buy a Kaz Pelican ( Is this a good idea Dogfish?)Finally tracked down the Aus distributer who is in Queensland.

Great to be on the forum to excange ideas, learn more etc etc with other like minded people. Hope there are some fly fishing kayak enthusiats out there too!!!???

Look forward to the association.

Cheers

Rollo :D

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. If you are desperate for the old content of this particular post, it is available below base64 encoded and bzip2 compressed.

Hi Rollo.

Where do you normally fish? Is it mainly river/estuary or offshore? The Kaskaski Pelican is from all reports a great offshore yak but may be overkill if you're only poking around narrow creeks etc in search of bass/trout.

Good to have you 'onboard' at AKFF

Welcome Rollo

This fly fishing is starting to intrigue me, I used to think it to much trouble however the results in saltwater speak for themselves. I may be so bold as to predict that in years to come my Yak will sport a fly rod in the rear as a back up for pelagic feeding fishy thingy's.

:D fishing Russ
