Left home running late for incoming tide & wind threating to blow a gale. Decided to head over to the peninsula to get a bit of land between me & the 15- 20 knot N/NW winds. Conditions close to shore were ideal with the offshore wind, with a bit more challenging conditions futher out around the breakwall. With the able assistance of Miss Nicci a successful launch and tentitive first paddle was had. Shoulder remained connected to the rest of body which is all I had hoped for at this stage. First tentitive step completed, hoping to get out & maybe do some fishing tomorrow.Might have to launch from somewhere else as a southerly change is predicted overnight. Havn't been on the water for nearly ten months!!! Got home feeling stoked & energised, can't wait to get out there again. Mal.

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. Good one Mal, I had a little bit of a dicky right shoulder, nothing too bad - just a niggle every now & then but when I was managing to get out a bit on the kayak, it actually started to get a bit better.

Hope the same happens for you. :D

Thanks Guys. Yes Karl, the rudder footrests are fully adjustable. Easy enough to do out on the water. I am still expermenting with the best position, that was just the first of many for the day. Mal.

Glad she went well, a bit more adventurous than my attempt, looks like you'll be chasing sweet lip pretty soon.
