Hi Guys
I'am sorry for getting back to you all so late with my reply but those of you that have kids will understand,My 14 year old daughter has taken over our PC for her home work and the fishing forum comes well down the line

Q 1 Iv'e only had the sail up for 30 min in about 15 knot winds, It;s a lot of fun and is very easy to use.I will keep you posted on other outings.

Q 2 The butt on some of my rod are to short so the pipe keeps the reels up out out of the water.

Q 3 I use the Alveys for ocean fishing because they can handle being rolled in the surf, I use my good gear on the lakes and rivers.

Hi Wayne
I do a lot of ocean fishing and the Scupper fitted my needs with the big front hatch for rods and gear,It's a lot faster than my Scrambler XT and I got it at the right price second hand with a rudder and sail.
If I was looking for a new yak the Prowler might be another option.
It's very hard to find the perfect fishing yak for all condition.
Test run as many as you can before making a decsion.

Hi Mick
Its my wifes tupperware container for the xmas cake. and works a bit better than a milk crate for the surf launch. Its not 100% waterproof so I keep my phone, camera ect in a sealed bag inside and it fits perfectly in the slot for the dive bottles in the back on the scrambler XT and Scupper.
I use a hessain potato sack for a esky,It works by splashing water over it to keep the fish cool and in good nick.

God bless those Alvey's! Goes well with the hessian sack. A good raw, honest looking rig that is qunitessentially Aussie. I love it. :D

I never use ice boxes or eskies anymore since I found out the benefits of a hessian sack. Kept wet and in some shade that 'Coolgardie Safe' evaporative cooling principal works a treat.

Holy S##t!!

I LOVE the rod holder set up AND those magnificent reels you have in them. :D You are indeed, a man after my own heart. Thanks for the extra pics brother.

I have been toyng with a similar idea for my sink and you have given me the incentive to go into my workshop today to start the project.

My only concern about the hessian bag is that I am generally out all day and I don't think it would keep fish in the tropics for too long, let alone keep the beers cool enough. :)
