Well we took off reasonably early Sat morning and what a great day we had .... The launch spot was a picture worth keeping (pic 1) We paddled(Ian and Justin) and we peddled (Me) and caught a few B/Bream(They) ..All just size or under so were all released ..Came across a nice little beach (pic 2) to have a bit of a stretch and chat ..Went a little further and it was decided to head back ..What a paddle/peddle back that was ..Strong easterlies straight down the river kept in line by big hills on either side of river ..Hard work !!!! Couple of more pics of they on the river ..Next trip on Sunday 10th ...Shoalwater bay ,Penguin island ..

The accursed wind has been blowing its butt off up here in Gero lately :evil:
Not to worry, I'm going on leave for 4 weeks this Thursday and should get some decent conditions during that time :roll:
Heading over to Gold Coast for just over week and hoping to catch up with legends such as Dodge, Spottymac etc Looking forward to that :!:
When I get back I might even try and get up to Kalbarri - there's a few Spaniards and Pinkies etc around at the mo, so a trip might well be on - you blokes fancy heading a bit further north maybe :lol:

When I had the same problem Peril recommended this free thingo from Microsoft which downloads in a minute or so and is only two clicks to shrink in My Pictures from then on

Well done guys. Sounds like an enjoyable trip in a nice spot. Great weather on the south coast on Sunday but unfortunately I had other commitments (bloody annoying on a comp weekend!).

Chopper, Shoalwater Bay sounds great, I don't know the waters around there so am keen to check it out. I'm still trying to arrange things with work as to when I can get away. I'm still planning to get there! I'll give you a ring in the next day or so when I finalise plans for the weekend & know when I can get there on Sunday (party in northern suburbs on Sat night).

It was a great day out. The fish were biting and the company was excellent. The wind provided some great entertainment and excercise and the scenery was... well... very scenic.

Once I sort out some technical issues (like where I put my camera cable) I'll thorow up some photos too.

Looking forwards to next weekend too - should be another pearler.
