Phoenix and I headed out again, this time off Margate. No moon and very little wind made for a great night to be on the water. There was bait fish _everywhere_ and the sounder was showing quality fish hiding around the bombies and the occasionally chop on the surface indicated sizeable fish were around. But I couldn't even get a hit all night! Phoenix faired better boating one chopper tailor and getting a few other hits/runs but we both went home empty handed again.

Hi were you bait fishing or all soft plastic, as I tend to have much more success at night with bait usually pillies but around there you can usually stop at Woody Point jetty and either net or catch mullet, herring or Gar some of the netters will usually give you fresh bait if you offer them something in return I have swapped stuff for fresh mullet before while breaming.
Both bait and soft plastics. Just couldn't get a bite.
I'm going to get some bait jigs and a cast net shortly so I'll start fishing the live baits with hopefully more success.
