Here it is in it's basic form.

I only intend to put a sounder on it and a very small crate in the rear well where the slightly sunken area is for the battery box.

For my style of fishing it has plenty of room on top.

I like the colour, hopefully I can sneak up on the fish. The colour is a bit darker than what came out in the photo's.

My only negative comment about the Kayak is the placement of the scupper holes at the rear of the foot wells. They should be in the foot wells.

Cheers

Congrats Sel.

If you are going after any big pelagics, you will find the stock rod holders impractical. They point forward, to keep clear of the paddle, so a strike from a big fish makes it very difficult to remove the rod and very easy to remove the rod holder!

I would consider placing rod holders behind the seat and facing back and out for the bigger fish.

The best customisation I made to my tempo is to build a set of rod holders that I strap to the battery box. It is just four vertical holders screwed to a piece of timber, with a luggage strap adjusted to give a tight fit. See the attached pic. This is only for storing rods and the net, but means they are directly behind me at a little distance so are well out of the way when casting.

Hi Mac_Fish

Ive got to say I love the colour, and the things you have done to your yak. I noticed first up, that you have a small hatch in the front well. I didnt get one of those, I suppose that they had to do that to get the rudder gear installed.
I must say, I like that idea so much, I will probably do that to mine, make it a lot easier for cables, and access in general.
Good, tough, stable yak. Might even get to meet up some time for a fish, now that I am almost ungrounded (trailer bought today)

Great fishing Cheers Andybear

I'm keen as, just give me warning and I'm there :D

That is the std Tempo Fisher man u see there except for the rudder.

The wells and all those hatches are std now even that little one at the front.

I was told when buying it that later in the year Viking will have the option of raised covers for those open wells. Imagine the storage room then, massive 8)

Flathead season bout to start and the last chance at some Wivenhoe Bass, to say I'm excited is an understatement.

Cheers
