Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. If you are desperate for the old content of this particular post, it is available below base64 encoded and bzip2 compressed.

Hi squidangler,
Welcome to this forum. I yakfish mainly at Seacliff because it's close to where I live. We are only a one car family so usually too inconvenient to trek off too far from home. Would like to give some other locations a go sometime. Like Red said keep looking at the fishing trips section, as the SA guys regularly organise trips, especially up near Wallaroo. What kayak do you have?

Welcome to the SA group Squidangler. Mattdogger and I are up in Belair. We are "possibly" going out on Thursday arvo local metro. I am retired and he is self employed so we can pull off these weekday exercises. Probably going out about 1500 or there abouts. You are welcome to join us if you like.

Hey squidangler,

Welcome to AKFF, and great to see another SA fella to boost the numbers. I am up in Wallaroo, which can be an interesting place to fish. My days as an SA AKFF'er are unforntunately numbered as I going back to the Great West. However, I do a few trips or as many as I can anyway.

As Red said I am heading up to Port Pirie to have a crack at some 40+cm bream, and hoping to crack the 50 mark (mmm wishful thinking I know). You are most welcome to join.

Other than that, I fish mostly around the Yourke Peninsula.

Yakabe.

mate if i was still living in SA i would be doin a lot in the murray and up around kataraptko creek area,
unreal part of the world and pretty reliable callop fishing from a boat/yak

another thing you may be interested in is the SAFWAA (south Australian Freshwater Anglers Association). I was a member of this before moving to qld and it was great. they have a heap of large farm dams on various properties stocked with natives, trout and redfin.
The dams are not all that big in comparison with the lakes in seqld etc but still pretty large, they would probably siut yak fishing pretty well.

might be worth joining up with them if you like freshwater fishing mate.
