Hi all
I went out to Lenthals at about 1300hrs and i had never seen white caps on a dam before. I tried to fish the edge of weed banks and once i had the wind behind me i did not need to paddle much at all. I landed to Bass both undersize and then lost a nice fish along with a brand new micro mullet!!!!!!! :x . I tried the fiathful Kakoda's again but no luck this time all in all a pretty slow day fro fish but the paddle was interesting to say the lest. A couple of wind gust's stopped me dead in my tracks and i was making good speed before they hit. Even the birds weren't game to swim around they were all asleep on the bank. I bailed about 1830hrs as i had a thirst up that only a cold beer would kill.

happy paddling and tight lines.

That sounds like an interesting excursion mate, welcome to the freshwater nut club. :p
Wind is a big problem for me down here on the lakes, so I tend to go out early morning, right on sunrise and go home when it starts to get hot. That way I don't get the worst of the wind which always picks up around lunch time and I don't get sunburnt. ;)
two bass on the yak is a good session in my books.

Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. Mate, at least you got out there. The day was way too grim for me.

If you are real nice to me, :D I'll show you the back way in where you can drive right to the skinny water that is pretty much out of the SE winds. Gotta keep it on the QT though because it is through forestry and the buggers get a bit towey over it.

I was talking to this bloke,

http://www.frasercoastsportfishing.com/ ... _196.shtml

He is in the second piccie, the other day and he gave me a pretty good heads up on barra and tactics out there. We need to talk real soon.
