Hi guys

I'm new to the kayaking scene and just wondering if anyone has advice or tips.
I bought myself a tarpon 100 which I picked up on Saturday. I headed out at redcliffe/Scarborough on Sunday to see how I'd go. It was pretty windy but I really enjoyed it.
Again I headed out on Monday and had a go with soft plastics, caught my first fish on them, 60cm snapper and a 48cm snapper
So now I have the bug! I want to get a fish finder....but which one? I'm looking at either the hummingbird 196cxi or the lowrance 4xdsi. If anyone has any comments about either of these that would be great.

Remember most don't come with a chart/card so will pay more $$$ :-(
Also, looking at your fishing record......
In fairness to others, I think you should buy the smallest, most complex unit so you have to focus on the screen and controls.
That way, you might leave some fish for us "mere mortals" ;-) ;-) ;-)

4x dsi is great.. Just getting the hang of mine now, perfect for the yak.. I got mine from whitworths, which seems like ancheap option. sale on the weekend too... oStop stealing my snapper!

Has anyone had any experience with the humminbird 196ci?
