Going to Jindy with the yak this Friday and Saturday with the intent of catching a trout or 2 in the chilly water. Anybody else heading south?

Was going to base myself out of town. Haven't fished there for ages but was thinking to fish from town and out along the left hand bank for a couple of k's.

Will be just getting there on Friday morning. Hoping for about 8am.
Only fished Kalkite once before from the bank about 15 years ago. Is there reasonable access there for a launch?
Might do there on Friday and the opposite bank on Saturday for a bit of variety?
