Welcome Peter,

Mangrove Jack are caught occassionally in the Pine River. That would be your closest bet. Branching out from there, I suppose the Caboolture River or keep going north to the Sunshine Coast where many Jack are caught.

Last year there was a photo floating around of a 4kg Jack caught from a boat in the Caboolture river. You should be able to fit the kayak on the roof and go for a fish before work on your way to the Caboollture displays  .

I know guys who reckon they have had some success fishing the canal estates down near where I used to live.(raby bay, aquatic paradise). Don,t know if the ones on the peninsula, bribie produce any fish. Maybe someone can confirm or deny the rumours ? Mal
