The Nemo is a little shorter (3.2m vs the Espri's 3.5), the same width, a little lighter (by 2kg), and doesn't take quite as much weight (130kg vs 150kg).

The rear well is a little less capable also.

Basically, it means that the nemo is a little more nimble, but a bit slower also.

Probably similar stability.

Jay I feel its worth the extra $200 for the espri, it tracks better and is more versatile in its capability

Jay I went through the same dilemma as you and decided for the extra money I was better off getting the larger yak as it is a much more capable vessell for what I wanted to do with it. And also Milan from Pro Catch told me if you bought the Nemo I would probably want to upgrade shortly so I would be better off going with the better yak from the start. I agreed with this so I did and I am more than happy with my choice.

I paid $899 inc quantum paddle and then another $90 for the high back seat.

My first yak was a Nemo, it was my "test the waters" kayak without spending a lot of money. It was what I would call "adequate" for kayak fishing. Stability was fine as was space for basic fishing. Of course, now that I have my X-Factor, I feel dirty every time I sit in the Nemo ;) but the girlfriend loves it. If you're unsure about whether you'll like kayak fishing, go the cheap option. If you're pretty sure you'll like it, spend as much as you can and pimp your ride out :)
