the pentax waterproof/dustproof camera's are a good kayak camera..... I used to fish with a guy who used one every trip and would take macro and at times underwater shots and never had a problem with it. the beauty of these type of camera's is they can get a bit wet and you can get a good pic without worrying about some spray. I look forward to seeing your efforts with the camera..

Nice. I managed to see the Pentax last weekend for the first time and it looked pretty good and had a good spec
