I am actually about to place an order for the Scotty Sea Light shown on that brochure. I got a quote yesterday from an Aust dealer who want $170 for it.
Looked online OS and can pick it up from the US for $36 US plus postage.Guess where I will get it from?

I like the look for the yak Stabilizer.
And does anyone else thing that the trap ease system would be a kick ass way on runner you anchor from the back of your yak?

hey guys,

Magic - that was the first thing i thought when I saw the trap ease. Great minds think alike, or as I am yet to get my yak to rig an anchor on to it and you had your anchor experience the other weekend that maybe for different reasons we thought the same thing :D.

Fishtales - I am guessing capela's ???? :D (just a guess!) By the way Chris I am picking up my Yak on Friday so if you want to head out in the near future I am all ears :D

Hi Milan,

Good to hear you are getting your yak . I will PM you re organising a paddle.

As for the quote for the Scotty's Sea Light, it was given to me by Mossops over the phone.

I had the same story when getting hold of my Scotty Triple.

Quoted $130.00 from my local tackle store, ordered it from Cabelas and it cost me around AU$90.00 delivered to my desk at work in 5 business days air freighted.

Its a shame we have to get this stuff OS to get a reasonable price as no one is able to offer these items in AU at a reasonable price, even paying priority air freight these items are still much cheaper........hard to understand why at times.

Yes it can get quite frustrating having to go OS, but sometimes you just have to. Even paying $35 US for priority shipping, my item would equate to $70 US or $91 Australian. Near half of the price here in Aust.
