HI all,
New to the forum and kayak fishing, spent a lot of time beach fishing in the past and a mate took me out on his outrigger canoe. This convinced me to get a yak and looking for my first one now (probably a prowler 13) and thanks to occy and dodge for thier help with my questions about which yak to choose
All the best everyone Dave 8)

Unfortunately, due to the change in ownership of this web site and the lack of response by the owners to my requests to remove my email address from all administrative-level notifications and functionality, I have decided to remove my posts on AKFF. Thank you for the great times, the fantastic learning experiences and the many many fish. If you are desperate for the old content of this particular post, it is available below base64 encoded and bzip2 compressed.

Hi Red,
I've been mainly beach fishing before, but the times i did fish in the bay in between Lion Is and Pearl beach is meant to be good for jewie's only problem is every time i've fished thier all i've caught is small sharks of one kind or another.
To start off with till i get used to the yak i will probably stay around half tide rocks where the deep hole comes up to the sand bar and look for bream and whiting and maybe drift across the sandbar a bit for lizards.
I know a few good places up the back of berowra creek between the ferry and crosslands, I work near thier so might try that in the arvos. Always good for flounder, lizards and bream, and it nice and calm to practice on.

Good choice on the Prowler you won't be disappointed. It should satisfy your fishing needs for many years. Hope to see you on the water soon.
