Nice and neat setup, everything is easily within reach of the average fisho... what do you plan to target with the downrigger?

What brand mount is your fishfinder on?

Nice setup. I like all the storage options on the Hobie's. Why was the ram mount fitted from below deck ?

hi paffo i will be using the downrigger mainly for chasing impoundment bass and pittwater kings. The mount is a modified ram mount as heno mentioned. the reason it was mounted through hull was that i couldnt get a ram to suit the navman so i fabricated the mounting plate and mounted it upside down however the original top of the mount was to large to fit in the gunnel tray area and didnt want to cut it as it was already a fairly ugly piece of equipment . So the solution was to mount it under deck and just have the ball protruding which i think looks a lot neater. hope this makes sense. :roll:

thanks guys.....the only thing left now i really need to do is to build a live bait tank, im tossing around the idea of making a custom fibreglass tank that will keep the center of gravity nice and low but i need the spare time to have a go at making a mould.
