Hi all,
as I'm a newbie, looking for some advice on what would be a good fresh water creek in the Townsville area to explore ?
I have heard about keelbottom creek, but wonder if it is accesible after our very dry wet season ?

Any tips would be appreciated

Tried the Ross River yet? Don't know about access to Keel Bottom Creek, get in quick before they start mining uranium there again.

Keel Bottom, that's the one that flows out west out of the Paluma range isn't it? If so, last time I drove through there I thought it looked like a nice place to fish. I might be wrong but I thought I saw signs somewhere along that back road that said no fishing....maybe it was just one of the bridges?

I'm fisihing the Ross nearly every day and will be launching my kayak in the Ross very soon, as in tomorrow !
was just hoping to see if there are any other good fresh water spots around.

had a couple of casts at Alva yesterday but it was blowin a gale !
