I can still picture those spots where you were fishing. Not sure that I can picture you fishing side saddle - comfortable isn't it.

Great story, Tryhard. Must have been a buzz watching the bow wave after the lure. It's funny how you only think it happens to those guys on the fishing show where they show some amazing fishing action and then one day you go out and the same thing happens to you.
Whiting also seem to munch on SP's quite readily, and are quite aggressive. I am still surprised at how successful SP's can be under the right conditions with such a variety of fish.
Great effort, mate. Keep it up.

got myself a smiths towadi a couple weeks ago. not a popper or blooper or fizzer, but has no real action at all. you impart the action - walk the dog style. normal retrieve it looks awful. walk the dog, and it is unreal - perfect fleeing baitfish!
