Hey guys got a brief stint here at awoonga. Got in today and had a bit of a paddle and a fish. Landed a couple of fork tail catfish... Threw them back, but how do they go for a feed? I was mostly just trolling sebile koolies and having a bit of an explore.

Anyway, more importantly. I'm going to have all day tomorrow, after a sunrise start and was just wondering if someone could give me some advice to help put me on to a barra. I'm not really after a meterey (though I'd not complain), just my first!

We're staying at the caravan park and launch at the boat ramp nearest by. Pretty close to the dam wall really.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

This is likely to be the east shore in the mid afternoon until sunset. Wind direction will have an effect though.

Like to hear the results.

Whatever shore the wind is blowing towards across the lake will have the warmer water ie the northwest shore in a south-easterly. Work the points and any timber that is laying down.
