Hi guys,

I am planning on heading to Depot Beach early next week, the weather looks ok and here's hoping the fishing will be too. I am just seeing if anyone has fished there lately and what rigs would you recommend I try? From what I gather its fairly snaggy but if I use very light gear and lightly weighted rigs I should be able to get away with it.

Any tips at all to hopefully land a few would be great

Hi Mate, do a search in trip reports on it. There's heaps and heaps of info about Depot in there. It gets fished by akffers a lot.

Being new to the bay I went out and checked it out about 11am today it looks good.
There were some cart marks in the sand (Big Gee) maybe???

Cant wait to have a go at my first open water yak.

Have you guys fished off the rocks at all????? when the fishing from the yaks comes up a big donut!!!! I have heard its pretty good In regards to the using the yaks, where would the best spot be to do a bit of bait drifting or bait fishing?????
